NoteWorthy was founded in 1960 as the Local 4 Musicians’ Credit Union. In 1996, we broadened our membership to include the wider musical community and changed our name to NoteWorthy Federal Credit Union.
Since 2006, we have been actively expanding our membership to include people from the entire spectrum of northeast Ohio’s arts and entertainment community. We began by moving into the Tower Press Building in downtown Cleveland, which places us at the center of Cleveland’s arts and cultural communities.
We are a not-for-profit cooperative governed by a democratically elected board of directors. While our members come from a wide range of arts organizations, we are an independent institution operating under a federal credit-union charter. All deposits up to $250,000 are guaranteed by the National Credit Union Administration, a federal agency.
If your organization would like to join and make NoteWorthy services available to your members, employees or students, please contact us at

We’re the arts community’s credit union, offering services specially designed to meet the unique professional and personal needs of artists. From competitive checking and savings accounts to low-interest credit cards and Creative Arts Project (CAP) loans, NoteWorthy provides a range of artist-friendly tools that other financial institutions don’t.
Just as important, we’re part of the arts community ourselves – a small, neighborly organization owned by the real people who are its members and dedicated to helping creative individuals like ourselves achieve success and stability. We understand the flexibility demanded by arts occupations and our humane but professional approach to doing business makes NoteWorthy a great way for people in the arts to join together to make life better.
When artists join us, they’re helping everyone in the arts community – including themselves. For information about how to join NoteWorthy, click here |
